This morning I took some progress photos of my TTL mystey sock and I have to share some of them with you. I think it is the yarn! I just can’t stop admiring this project:

I got the second part of the pattern Tuesday around 9:00 p.m. my time. I started the cable version on one cuff and then the basic version on the second cuff. The cable one turned out to be too small, it didn’t want to go past my arch,,,
Wednesday morning I checked both options in day light and decided I prefer the basic version with this yarn so I didn’t try to solve the size issue by going a needle size up.
Last night I finished the leg of one sock and fell asleep with the second one, this is what I have so far:

The color of this yarn: Iggy Pop - is amazing and very hard to capture on camera, I think this next photo is the best presentation of it I got so far:

As I don’t have a sock blocker, I used my arm to try and show you the details of the pattern:

The bump there on the right side is one of my fingers,,,
I love this yarn and enjoy the KAL very much.
Oh and I think I really like the other side of this stitch pattern too, I may try it on another sock soon. It can add some interest to a 2×2 rib sock.
The only problem - I knit it instead of the vest that has a dead line,,, shame on me!

While I was cooking dinner tonigh, Sam had a question in Google Talk, when I told her I need to go finish dinner, she said she wants some too,,,, how do we do that?
I poured myself a portion and sent it to Sam in Google Talk:

After I sent her this one, I remembered she actually prefer the dish this way:

It is a pity this is the only way we can have a family dinner these days, but it is better than nothing, right?
Do you want to tell me which is your favorite way of eating such dishes?
You can find the recipe in one of my favorite cook books:

I am going in reverse here but I just realised I still didn’t show you photos of the Sequoias from our recent trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, in California.
My first encounter looked like this:

Then we found more and more of them:

After inspecting the inside of a group of Sequoias I tried to see if they reach the clouds:

And this is what I saw:

Joe wanted me to go up one but I sent him instead:

The most famous of the trees, like the one called General Sherman:

Are now fenced to try and help them last longer, so you can’t really get close to the tree and appreciate it.
I think I preferred the ones that I could touch and stand right next to and admire:

I think this photo summarize well my opinion about these Sequoias:

In another part of this amazing park we saw young Sequoias. I was quite disappointed to learn that there is not much chance I will be around to see them in their full glory (it takes about 3,000 years).
Oh well, maybe in my next life.
